Testimonials

This section has testimonials from clients of Judi's.  As of December 1, 2009, the FTC mandated full disclosure.   One of the requirements is no fake testimonials.  That's okay - there never were any!  And yet, generally you'll only see first name, last initial, and sometimes a location. We don’t list full names for two reasons:

  • We want to protect their privacy. If anyone wishes to contact someone directly – for instance those who have participated in or completed the retainer program - please call Judi first so that we can obtain the person’s permission
  • Many are employed and need their confidentiality protected for obvious reasons.

I just wanted a job.

You were able to get through the clutter and focus on the likelihood that I was not chosen for a job after an interview because I failed to show true interest in the company and position.  My heart wasn't really in it.  I just wanted a job. So instead of continuing on the same track you recommended really thinking about what I wanted in a position and only applying to those.  Many instead suggest sending out four million resumes, etc.  Instead you simplified the process by helping me to focus on what I wanted and where I would be happy.  you cut through all the things that cloud the process.

A unique perspective

Judi provides a unique perspective on job seeking.  Her advice incorporates the possible viewpoints of employers/HR departments as well as the job seeker’s personal and professional goals.   Most career coaches have a canned approach and try to fit any client into that formula without actually listening to determine each person’s unique situation.

overboard by working with a coach

My family and friends thought I was going overboard a bit by working with a career coach for my job search and suggested I instead read some books on the subject.  To their credit, I had done so before and it was not useful.   Then, I found out about Judi.  I had some upcoming interviews and I wanted to try working with a career coach again.

My consultation with Judi was very comprehensive and invaluable.  We discussed in-depth strategies for interviewing and she made several recommendations.   Perhaps most important, Judi advised me that they would ask certain questions based on my specific situation and then talked me through how best to answer them. Wouldn’t you know it,  I was asked all of the questions during my interview.  Instead of freezing up when they the interviewer asked them, I answered with confidence.  I honestly believe that being able to answer those difficult questions, was instrumental in getting the job.  I believe I not only found the perfect job, but I also found the perfect way to get the job!

Very strong and much needed program

I took the class because I need to be able to send a really strong professional cover letter that will have the reader read it and look at my resume.  I learned that I had a great opening paragraph and several other smaller points. The most valuable aspect was your critique and eagle eye. (That is a true complement and I hope you take it as such)  Judi I feel very strongly that you can really be great and helpful. I realize this is a first and there will be bumps. Once everything settles down I think you will be able to offer a VERY STRONG AND MUCH NEEDED PROGRAM. Please keep tearing up the letters and letting us know better ways to do the letters. This is invaluable.
